- Livin in da project is all what I love in house music
Even if it's based on samples, it's a big big track - "Livin In Da Projects" is based on samples of "The Destinations - I've Got To Dance (To Keep From Cryin')" (1977).
- Edited 6 years agoDo Me Right...BIG BIG tune. It just encapsulates everything about deep house from that fertile era. The way it's layered makes it a perfect peak time banger.
- Edited 12 years agoI never understood the big deal about this record. 'Do Me Right' is just a flat, grooveless track that is near impossible to withstand for the entire seven minutes without drifting off zzzz...
Save your money for some proper New York garage from the same era. Absolutely not worth it.
