Edited 2 years agoReminds me of the eclectic strain of the listless downer-barstool indie rock of the old SF band, Fuck (who released a couple great LP's on Matador), mixed with the beach-y strains of The Tyde, and even the forlorn shimmy of some of the Tindersticks work when they're not being so serious. Sleigh bells never sounded so mopey. A pretty god lil' single from a band I had never heard of.The cover made me think it might have been 'field recordings' of an old bingo hall, which I was kinda hoping for, but, nope, competent, rainy-day coastal indie rock, which is also cool.
