Edited one year agoGatefold edition with acceptable sound. My copy sounds extremely quiet at the beginning, and then clicks appear, though at a tolerable level. Between songs there is a lot of background noise.
Yet another poorly pressed product from GZ Media. They’ve improved a bit lately, but this release is a couple of years old now and they were still using what sounds like ground up Pilsner Urquell bottles in their vinyl mix. Even after a thorough cleaning, Side Two of my copy is a mess of pops, clicks and crackles throughout. Shame as this is a really good record from Elbow’s main man. Now added to my large stack of “vinyl resurgence” duds.
