My copy of this has horrible sibilance and high end distortion. Weird because all my other B-52s original vinyl sound great.

Does anybody know whether there's a slight variation in mix of the track 3 "Mesopotamia" from the UK to the US versions of this album.

The youtube video sounds like it has doubled up vocals and sounds much more trippy than the CD I have of the American release.

Most copies of the European release include the extended Loveland instead of the standard version, but are otherwise identical to the US release.

Some European copies also include the extended Cake and Throw That Beat And The Garbage Can, which replace the standard versions of those tracks.

However, there is no way of knowing which records contain them without playing the record. Some labels indicate longer running times, but play the same length tracks. It is thought that different pressing plants had access to different tapes.

The Island CD includes the US mix. The only US release of the Mesopotamia tracks is in remixed form on Party Mix/Mesopotamia, where they have overdubbed electronic drums to fit in with Party Mix.
