Reviews
- It’s excellent, even if it’s pressed so thinly you can fold the record in half. Hit a few snags on my way to acquiring “the perfect” EU first press, but this is a great one. The legendary early press dynamics are on full display here. Subjectively, I wonder if the bass is quite as good on this as on the German Sonopress (which is what fixated me on getting a first press of my own), but in any event, it’s close to it and vastly superior to the reissues, including the BG cut (which I also own). I house this pressing in the magnificent 30th anniversary gatefold. I’m probably good on Nevermind until I can compare it to a US first press to see if there’s any difference aside from the runout matrix.
- This record is the first Nirvana Nevermind pressing on vinyl! It has always been a very rare record. However, this is the pressing with the Upside - Down Monkey Inner Sleeve, i.e. with this mispressing, which makes this a lot rarer. Kurt's voice is particularly well received on Smells like Teen Spirit or Lithium. Great Album! 🎶
- Incredible sounding pressing. I tend to prefer UK or German pressings over American so happy to have this rather than the super expensive US edition. I wonder how they compare?
- Edited one year agoMy copy got stamped on A side:
08 31492 2 0 1A 1 GEF 24425
Not:
08 31492 0 1A 1 GEF 24425 - My copy reads ‘Masered’ rather than ‘Mastered’ by Howie Weinberg on inner sleeve. Is this misprint standard or rare?
