Echoing what others have already said, this is an appalling bad pressing. It's quiet, muffled and sounds about as good as a 96Kbps bitrate MP3 would sound. I have the original 1996 CD release which sounds infinitely better than this. I didn't pay very much for it, thankfully. Definitely one to skip.- The sound on this lp is absolutely terrible. Totally agree with the other reviews. I actually thought it was my needle playing up till l played another lp. You would think with today's technology that we would be able to produce records better than in the 80's but definitely not the case. Half the new lps l buy sound terrible. Done wasting money on this crap. Savatage reissues cost me a fortune and they were terrible compared to the originals. Buying only originals from the 80s from now on. Anything new, cd. Unless you get this cheap like l did then don't bother.

It's a shame that bands allow the release of materials with poor quality like this!
Same thing with Master Of the Rings...
One of the worst LP's I have ever bought. The sound is truly low and such a disappointment.
Horrible in all ways imaginable. Get the 1996 vinyl edition if you love this album. You won't be sorry.
BMG SANCTUARY 2015.... I have more than five thousand records, this edition is by far the worst I've ever heard, disgusting sound, BAD, BAD, BAD- Bastante bien suena para tener alrededor de 30 minutos por cara, quien hizo el Máster pensó bien por qué mi copia apenas distorsiona en el surco interno
Sounds pretty bad. Basically borders on unlistenable. Luckily my copy was very cheap.- Sounds awful. But it's the production of this album unfortunately. Sounds equally bad on mp3, CD, and vinyl. Which is most unfortunate because the music is great!
- Чертовски плохо записанный релиз. Жуткая компрессия, верхи пришлось вы крутить на всю и басы. Более-менее сносно стало звучать.
