Heard 'Mouth To Mouth' on repeat for 2 months after its release.

Nobody complained. Nobody stood still. It did the business with intense energy, a real tonic that stood out amongst a lot of bland minimal SHITE dominating the industry (the very worse evolution of house along with electroclash, darlings!).

Anything said over the years since is irrelevant.

I'm not sure how this turned into classic. Probably some dominant figures in music magazines like RA or FACT forced it in every single unnatural way, you remember from 2006 to 2010 minimal was the only right choice to stay relevant on the dance scene, if you're not into minimal you get ignored.

Same thing was for progressive 99-03. And this track strangely fits the criteria same way "Trancesetters - Roaches (Peace Division Remix)" getting called a "classic". They both left a feel of embarassment being on a dancefloor, like you're naked or something. Both Audion and Trancesetters tracks are ultimate vibe killers. Best way to use it is use it without mixing, last track stops and then you put this and everybody goes "WTF THIS DJ SUCKS"

Mouth to mouth basically took Euphoryhtm's - Patrik (Space Teddy records) and polished it a bit.
First time I heard MtM I honestly thought it was a remix of it.
        Surprised nobody mentioned this.

I prefer Patrik any day of the week.

Mouth To Mouth = SIMPLICITY. 2 notes, a minimal bass kick and some builds over and over. This is DANCE MUSIC.
A true classic. Shut up haters !

Everytime people get divided in their opinions to totally plus versus minus you have a good indication for experiencing something special. And this EP is truly a unique character and a hell of a record. For me Hot Air does the trick best. You may call it simple and easy. But this isn’t a bad sign. Most Songs on Radio are relatively easy. That’s one reason why people like them. The genius is to take that simplicity to maximum efficiency which Matthew Dear did here. It’s outstanding. Between all these 1000‘s of uncharacteristic tracks in this world there are gems like this. You will always identify it right away after the first beats. Give this record some love.

Mouth to Mouth reminds me of jumping off a diving board again and again. Not exactly the most sophisticated way to entertain yourself, but still really entertaining.

Mouth to Mouth just doesn't do it for me, it has superb sound design maybe but it's arrangement is too mediocre for a typical 6 minute track, let alone a 12:54 one !!!

I definitely agree with the other guy that the b-side here is much more interesting, actually has something going/evolving in a minimal techno sort of style, still no cake though, but pretty good. As for the A-side, maybe it works in warehouse type enviornments or really slowed down druggy environments, I can see it work well there, but I won't suggest it for home listening.

Anyway I only rate 4 stars because of the sound design and inspiration this EP gives due to its originality.

Had to add my bit here- Time has moved on, but Matthew Dear is one talented soul. Thinking back to 2006, when first hearing this as it worked best- A very large warehouse stacked full of ravers- I see it in a different light to some reviews here. It might not do a lot as some put it, but its what it does, and what it doesn't do, that make this a demon of an intelligent production. Holding back the angst & teasing the crowd, this will rinse you out layer by layer & leave you dumbfounded. Its nothing short of a monster, and while not being something some would play right now, its one for the vault- a record you really should own if you appreciate creativity. A standout burning disco devil & complete insanity. Evil genius.
