Reviews
- Hardest to get Midniters 45 by far. And one of the very best Blue-eyed soul songs ever.
Played in the late 70s /early 80s in the UK as "Jimmy Burns" (covered up after the then recent spin by Chicago blues man. Who had a huge northern soul hit with "I really love you" on the Erica label.)
The flip side is a complete contrast with a mournful ballad that is the equal in my opinion, but "make me cry" will always be special (despite the resent BOOTLEG, which is a good reproduction of the sound, but wouldn't fool a blind man) as I have a original.
At least people will have more of a chance to hear a class soul record regardless of skin colour.
