The vocals from 'Der Energy' were taken from Kraftwerk (Die Stimme der Energie), so should have been called 'Der Energie' instead ;-) . Also the train 'toot' sound reminds me of 'Telex - Moskow Diskow'. Otherwise a nice energetic piece - as others said mostly in typical fashion of more popular stuff in the genre but still it sounds really good crafted and I also like the tempo changes.

Some sounds on the A2 track 'Weapon Of Non Violence' reminds me of weapons my dentist once used on me ;-) , but its a very interesting dark industrial hardcore track nonetheless and the Bassdrum has a rich full body and is just about perfect. I don't need to mention the speech was taken from Martin Luther King.
The B-Side is for you in case you like to hear TB-303 Bass/Acid lines along a slowly shifting Hardcore/Techno track, but remember almost 15 Minutes is a long time.

Orgasm (Live At The Cardiacs) is an excellent hardcore acid techno track, progresses along nicely. More like a very energetic acid jam.

However, it's all about 'Weapon Of Non Violence' for me. A brutalist industrial hardcore techno nightmare of epic proportions from the very start. It's like experiencing the thrill of jumping off of an aeroplane without stepping onto one in the first place. Exhilarating under the right circumstances ie unprescribed medication of purity, good, up for it, like minded crowd and a punishing sound system to feel those bass kicks and grindy riffs puncturing your chest and abdomen. Makes me think that perhaps Kerckhoven was reminiscing about Mescalinum United's 'We Have Arrived' when he produced this. Fierce.

Der Energy (Noise) is more your typical polka-like gabber which I was never really fond of. Reminds me of folk dancers who got into the techno scene too late. Don't ask why :)

This is a rather unusual Rotterdam Records release. The A-side is more Rotterdam-like with crushing beats and the typical 909-patterns, however, with some nice interesting sounds such as sirens added to it. The B-side is a live recording and more on the acid-side of things. To me the B-side makes the real gem of this record which overall is nicely produced and a nice and refreshing round-up of the vast Rotterdam Records discography.

Btw, most likely the name 'Morlock' refers to the maneating monsters from the 1960s movie "The Time Machine".
