I'm surprised that this rare and in-demand EP (admittedly, mainly for the 'Teckno Driven' gem) has still not seen a repress. C'mon, someone, sort it out! It's on 'nuff peeps "want" lists.

this was so fresh sounding at the time, not heard much either in the clubs, but when it played it went down a storm ! Ahead of its time, with the bleep period coming on.
crispy clean production, although the record itself is not the best pressing.

It's a moment in time. That's the beauty of it. Square wave radicalism.

Great EP of which all 4 tracks stand the test of time in my opinion. Life's little pleasures & Lorraine probably my favourites......wandering warm chords with interesting drum patterns. Agree with a previous review and like the description "subtle, simple and far away".

"techno driven" has a great (non acidic) 303 bass line and strange bleeps dancing around some very nice pads (a thin one droning the whole time and some w more body that come in playing a melody). love to slip it under a nice long/deep drum section, really kicks the energy up.

4 quality themes on offer here, with 'Techno Driven' especially resisting the test of time nicely. Beauty on wax & porn for hunters of lesser known, true analog techno gems- subtle, simple & far away, with as much murky charm as the cream of Detroit offerings around the time. Sparse electro/303 percussion, haunting machine strings & bleeps, arranged in an interesting, intelligent layering. Outstanding record, in an understated way. Great bit of history from Jack Smooth (producer/engineer Ron Wells) & Chris Simmonds (Cross Section Records).
