This is Accept at their underground best. After this they succeeded to erupt from the unknown status to the legend-making stadium-filling band. This album has some of their best songs, however. The album was recorded as a quartet, guitarist Frank Hermann was recruited during the release and featured in the booklet but he did not actually contribute to the recordings.

Fast as a Shark predated the thrash movement one year, its butchering tempo was ground-breaking at the time (the opening LP-switching joke gets old quickly though). The title-track is an epic smasher, such is the closing Princess of the Dawn, the latter is the earliest hint of Russian melody in the Accept/U.D.O. sound. Some of the refrains unfortunately are less imaginative (Neon Nights) or sometimes the riffs are plodding (both Shake Your Heads and Neon Nights), but that's the only complaint, both being featured at the end of the A-side.

Strangely enough the ballad is also working with Udo's minimal vocals, too (Don't Go Stealing...). This album captures Accept's steady ascension to stardom, therefore it is very much recommended.

Greatest songs: Fast as a Shark, Princess of the Dawn, Restless and Wild
Least great songs: Shake Your Heads, Neon Nights
    Rating: 4.0

I think this release some or all is repress or reissue.
Because, In this release I have, Jacket is not coated and the PRS embossed stamp is also a wave-like stamp. Also, The matrix is not simple with the addition of extra codes.
What do you guys think about this?

It was the album that made them known in Spain. What a surprise to listen to the radio, and hear "Fast as a Shark" with ULTRAVOX, TALK TALK, NEW ORDER and DEPECHE MODE

Does any of 'Restless and Wild' releases include the lyrics? I got 2005's reissue CD by Steamhammer, and the booklet's just 4 pages. I browsed through many of these releases listed here, but didn't see any lyrics printed.
