Certainly a very worthwhile piece of early 80´s synth/electronic music! Ensemble Pittoresque were from Den Hague, the capital of The Netherlands. "Frequenz" was recorded live in the studio and sounds really organic, the stereophonic feel is to near perfection here. It is a quite diverse work songwise yet curiously it manages to capture the feeling of a whole album. A few bits linger into experimental field but mostly it is quite straight forward. The title track for example is the closest I can think of anyone getting to goa trance riffing a decade earlier the genre was coined! Without delving into separate tracks or further reviewing I would still make a claim that this will please anyone into the early 80´s minimal or synth bands and calls for a proper reissue.

Does anyone know if they are planning a reissue for this album? I would love to have this on wax.
