Strong album from Suede. The type of album you put on to hear it start to finish, not a choppy singles release. Their best work since the first two albums.

"Outsiders" is a fantastic track! This was, is, and always will be a great album especially because i didn't think they could come up with such a strong set of inspired songs.

This is Brett's Bowie tribute LP.
The songs are OK though! :)
When I heard the vinyl the mastering, as someone else mentioned is very 'harsh' and makes everything sound a bit metallic and grey and there is also some noticeable autotune on Brett's voice (particularly prominent on 'I Don't Know How To Reach You')

best record Suede have put out since Coming Up , absolutely brilliant!.

I'm sort of resisting buying the vinyl because it's a double LP for a 48 minute length record, with the songs tied seamlessly on the CD, as if meant to listen with no interruptions... can anyone tell if the songs have been at least modified to end and start in a non-abrupt way when flipping the sides of the LPs?

Enjoying the album itself, but anyone else feel like this suffers from poor mastering yet again? It's not quite as bad as Bloodsports, but still sounds pretty loud and compressed on CD.

Dog Man Star 2.0, I think. Both albums start with an epic intro, followed by two really stunning pieces with great vocals and fantastic guitars before slowing down again; there's even the "song that no one needs" in the middle ("The Power" on Dog Man Star and "What I'm trying to tell you" on this one), followed by a mixture of dramatic slow songs and more fast-paced ones. Absolutely wonderful! I am falling in love with this band all over again!

beautiful, so beautiful and strong album. The guitar parts are so deep, not like the early albums; Brett Anderson`s voice is still high and clear, same. I need it on LP.

I'm going to try to be brief.

This is Suede's best album since Dog Man Star. I didn't expect to enjoy it (and perhaps to some extent I was even determined not to). Brett's voice is still an acquired taste. But this is fantastic. The singles (whilst great) are only a hint of what's waiting on the album. Wonderfully produced, with some great guitar parts too.

Definitely worth buying.
