Reviews
I purchased this collection thinking it was gonna be more laid back, sort of music to sit and keep me company to some slow falling summer rain, lost in my own thoughts, comfortably intoxicated with top-shelf bourbon, focusing on nothing but the tunes. In all, out of the 60 tracks found here, only 7 of those meet that criteria. While splendidly grand, majestically played, and all bits of jazz movie and television history, the other presentations are a bit more edgy, a bit more demanding, more suitable for an evening of backgammon and lively conversation.
