I took a punt on a new copy after reading here about the level of surface noise. Going on my copy I can confirm that there is virtually no surface noise at all, so I am confused what has put others off. Those familiar with the soundtrack already will know that there are added textures and atmospherics that I can only guess have been misconstrued as uneven static noise by those complaining. So please continue to buy good copies with confidence.

Pressing sounds fine, but Label on Face A is off centre. Never seen anything like this before.

Has anyone heard the original vinyl release from Sakamoto's Japanse label (Commmons), or read any reviews of it that they can share? I really want a clean sounding copy of this record, and would consider paying the inflated cost for a Japanese copy if there was evidence of it not having the same issues as the other pressings.

Can anyone confirm if this is going to get a repress - it deserves a quality release to give the score justice.

Got my copy recently and have no noise issues whatsoever apart from a continuous pop on each rotation for the last 2 minutes of C6. The records sound incredibly clear considering most of the music is very quiet, the dynamics are very nice and the sound of the vinyl very rarely made its presence known. Perhaps it has repressed recently? Either way, I have very little to complain about at my end.

The packaging is really nice although I can't wait to put these records in poly lined sleeves, feel so wrong jamming them into card inner sleeves.

            Oh, and great soundtrack!

Looking closer at my record and it really is in bad shape, straight of the sleeve! What plant pressed/man handled this release! Think I will return it :(

Shame more effort wasn't put in to reduce the surface noise on this album, this music really needs the pressing to be immaculate as its very dynamic. The sound is really nice between the noisy bits though.
Overall a bit disappointed, doesn't seem to have been enough quality control for this release. Can imagine the coloured versions being even worse!

Side D has really unbearable and annoying surface noise. Just bad luck or anyone else has this problem?

                    Is it coloured?
                    Are their different releases
                    Colored and/ or black!?
                    Who can help?

                      Is this release colored one?
                      Or why is this cheaper?
