- One of the essentials for listening on vinyl. Sade Adu oozes sensuality throughout the record and Stuart Matthewman elevates the music to another level with the saxophone. Insane...
- I'm just listening to it and wow! The sound quality of the recording at 1/2 speed is impressive. It's worth every penny. Even though I don't like all of their songs.
- i bought the Music on Vinyl release of this here in Australia, runouts are almost exactly the same as stated above, same scratched out codes, MOVLP on the disc runout( Music on Vinyl LP) i think the 130 as stated above may have been mis read as mine is engraved 180, but mine has Gatefold, same slips but a Black Music on Vinyl 180 gram sticker on front cover and has Music on Vinyl printed into the top rear of cover under the barcode.
Regardless it sounds immaculate. So i would say that these are left over MOV 180g and repackaged without the Music on Vinyl identifiers on the packaging. - Just did an informal shootout with this against the first three songs from the new half speed mastered Diamond Life and this sounds more lively and has a better midrange. The new release seems to have a smiley eq with some midrange suck out in the vocals. Not night and day different and level adjusted by ear so make of that what you will…
- I didn't know there was a half speed mastered version of this record, although I don't think it sounds better than my copy.
This sounds incredible, almost perfect, 100% audiophile sound, and it becomes one of my reference records for testing audio equipment.
Very happy to have it in my vinyl collection - Was really excited to hear this record until I went through and found that most the tracks have UNBEARABLE distortion, especially on vocal climaxes. I really wanted to like this pressing but it honestly sounds so bad I wish I could return it :(
- Very nice album. All known songs and hits are on this 2 LP album. Very good sound. Don’t hesitate to buy it, when you come across it!
- Just a quick FYI - great presentation, the records do sound great, I was very excited playing this for the first time. Then I put on Side B and it got to "Never As Good As the First Time"... and it's a remix.
