- As a teenager in the 1970’s, this is one of the most important albums of my formative music years. To people of my age, it's hard to underestimate what an effect Bowie had an us. He was too us what The Beatles were to a younger generation and Ziggy Stardust was a massively important album. Like the fab four, Bowie changed everything. This is a nice solid pressing, sounds very impressive and no surface that I can hear.
- Edited 9 days agoFor context I grew up in the 90's. I listened to this 5 times and it sounds wonderful. I have never listed to Bowie before. I know all the Beatles and Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin but no Bowie. In my opinion this record is right up there with the best classics. Highly recommend this press and the music. For $25 it's a steal
- Edited 3 months agoThere’s plenty of surface noise between the songs but it doesn’t bug me so I guess that’s fine. Sounds pretty dynamic and Lady Stardust sounds glam as ever. No skips on ‘Star’ thankfully so yeah. And Ziggy Stardust sounds epic!! Mine came flat with no scratches
- I bought this record at a ridiculous price on a visit to Edinburgh and I didn't have many expectations about the sound quality, but I'm getting an incredible surprise, this vinyl sounds really, really good.
Excellent pressing quality and sound, great dynamics and sound stage, well detailed with clear and open mids and the quality of the bass really caught my attention, well marked with a lot of punch.
Clearaudio Emotion with Hana SL , McIntosh electronics and Proac DR20 speakers - Just checked mine and happy to say it is the AAA a-1 b-3 cut and does sound really good but im sure a uk og will be better. question is is it $100.00 better?
- If you find this out in the wild or if you have to order it, grab it, it’s a fantastic press, great soundstage, dynamic sounds wonderful through my Marantz and Heresy speakers
- Pulled this out for spin and I have got to say, I have got no complaints. The wax is flat, no noise click/tick/whirl, and it sounds damn good/dynamic.
