Insanely good modern soul disco funk with killer vocals. Sounds a little like Candi Staton on some cuts. Shame that this is not getting repressed esp as it was released by Handshake who were distributed by Ariola and should be owned by some BMI type. It says this singer died in 1984 which is sad as she should have had more success and kept going. Anything produced by Dunn Pearson, Jr. is great. Deep disco soul at its finest.

'Ready, Ready Love' was one of the biggest songs of the London steppers (or more fashionably known 'rare groove') scene and almost impossible to get a hold of (unless you had deep pockets) at the peak of its popularity back in the late 80's. Needless to say, the song was heavily bootlegged to meet the demand by purveyors of the scene. However, unlike other 'rare groove' albums which spawned popular soul steppers, this is by no means a one track album and is much sought after by dsco heads for the more uptempo tracks. ........Yeah this is 'holy grail' stuff.
