"Be My Lover" 33rpm is a beautiful slow drifting house track. Really opens it up and lets it breathe.

Don't know whats all the discusion here, for me Eco System is a very good release. all tracks are good, the first two remind me of house music while "Magic Mushrooms" is more trance & spacey. the point is that this is a wonderful release and all tracks satisfied me. Suck Me Plasma classic.

Jazzliscious, your review made me pull out this thing again and listen to Be My Lover. As much as I am in awe of Dietz' work (Fazer and Brainstorm in particular) and as much as I respect your taste, I cannot seem to find anything memorable about Be My Lover. It is - for my likings - one of those techno tracks which leaves me neither warm nor cold. It is nothingness for me. Dietz made very varied tracks, which I fail to hear in this one.

Hang on a minute...aren't we forgetting something here?
I really should defend "Magic Mushrooms" at this point. This is an awesome track. Utterly hypnotic and some of the druggiest sounding "trance" (before trance became a four-letter word) of all time. It's about as dark as you can get and the title is very very appropriate indeed. It's pretty out there I have to say. A squishy, pulsating elastic cyber monstrosity.

            You haven't!?
Then go track down "Mind & Soul" and you will get loose! =)) This is a fantastic EP from Tranceformer, a true, underground sound of trance, i'd say - the lost treasure. "Mind & Soul" is a hypnotic mind&soul-blowing track..with beautiful melodies, groovy basslines and the same female vocals as in "Be My Lover". Nothing more to say than if you're a trance ogger and still haven't heard of this - it's a must!

"Be My Lover" is a wonderful early track that really doesn't get any attention at all. That's unfortunate because these early releases were so well produced and definitely not lacking in creativity. I may sound redundant to those who decide if these reviews should be published or not but let's face it - if techno were still an innovative art, this website wouldn't exist because nobody would care at all about these old tracks. Techno just lost its inspired edge and tracks such as this came about at a time when there still was some inspiration and thus, creativity. Now you can point and click your way to a techno "track" in about fifteen minutes, but back when this track was made, some time and energy (and love?) went into their production. And as far as "Be My Lover" is concerned - check it out and think about my point - it's excellent! Very nice early track! Fat analog synths, sultry vocals, concise melodies (what are those?), it's got all the makings of really good techno! And not too extrovertly commercial sounding, it's got that degree of "underground" sound we looked for back in 1992 and '93. I couldn't stand overly commercial conceptuality then and I still can't! This track rocks! Long live the goods! I haven't heard the other track so I can't say anything about it...
