Reviews
- I have had my copy since it came out the first time. I just cleaned it with a spin clean (and original liquid washer) and put them in anti static sleeves and they sound good up to now.
- A superb collection, weird to see people saying the sound quality is not good. mine is excellent. i have a decent set up with Rega Deck, Dali Speakers and Cambridge Amp. Very pleased with all the records in the compilation. A must have for any Lush fan.
- Edited 5 years agoRecently came across this used at a record store for a fair price. The problem with this box set is that these reissues are not good. Comparing my originals of Spooky, Gala, and Split, the originals blow these reissues out of the water. I returned the box set and will stick with what I have. I'd wait for a better reissue.
- The LP boxset is still available from the 4AD store: http://4ad.com/releases/794
- The box itself is great but I think the records are a bit of a letdown since they neither look nor sound as good as 90's UK originals. "Gala" is suddenly a regular cover with a regular inner. And that from a label that was always about design and artwork? Not happy.
- Just found a copy at the local shop. Quite a beautiful piece. In Canada it comes in a pizza box and the Topolino vinyl is a beautiful opaque yellow. This is a keeper...
- Topolino vinyl is kind of a pale yellow. At least the one I bought in the US is. Not sure if they're all pressed at the same plant or not.
- Ordered and awaiting. Can't wait to hear this. Minor question, though. Is Topolino like, YELLOW yellow, and the picture here is just a bit washed out? Or is it more of a cream yellow like in the picture? Mine won't show up until next weekend or else I'd wait. :-)
- Amazing release. Everything is dead quiet, flat, and gives the bass and vocals a nice sound, while still honoring the original mixes. Split is also the only time I've heard the album non-clipped, with a nice DR.
