- Just picked this one up brand new, unopened and its actually pretty good. There is no haze or anything like others have reported, the first track on side A has a noticeable click when playing, but other than some light surface noise here or there, the record sounds really good. It's a nice pair with my crystal clear version of Jagged Little Pill. Very happy to have found one.
- My side B has noticeable "haze" as this was the side that was pressed against the bare PVC sleeve for the past 7 years it sat in a warehouse (bought it in 2023, mint, unopened). Luckily this does not affect the sound quality, though there is noticeable surface noise in silent passages, and the run out grooves sound awful.
Side A, which was pressed against a paper insert, is immaculate.
Overall, as with both my Alanis pressings, the sound quality and mastering is immaculate, and the vinyl effect is very pretty. Thick and flat.
System: Rega P1, VM95ML, KEF Q150s. - for those with audio issues... bare record against this type of sleeve, chemicals will leach out of the sleeve and onto the vinyl. most cleaning methods won't remove the sticky residue. most likely you have to clean with lighter fluid (zippo).
- I’ve gone through two copies and there are some serious QC issues. Outer cover sticking to the LP inside, very noisy 1st track on side B. The music is excellent, the pressing and presentation not so much. I am still keeping a copy :)
- My copy has some very very loud pops during track 4, side A. But I paid dirt cheap for a sealed copy and the songs are amazing, I kinda don't care. Curiously, the music sounds a lot better than on the cd or Spotify, the mastering of this vinyl was great. Alanis' voice sounds too loud on Spotify.
- Shame for others but I must say mine sounds superb, clean and crisp. The content is a great addition to the collection also, there are some much softer songs that are welcome, show off another side to her voice. Overall an important copy for any 90's collection.
- This makes me happy. Ive no major quality issues with mine and I purchased second hand. A few pops at the start of A1 but overall quire clean and crisp. No complaints. Nice to hear what Alanis was really like before record execs beefed her up.
- Sorry to hear many of you experienced bad sound quality. Mine sounds great! Sounds a little static-y on some tracks but for the most part sounds really good
- Yes mine also is just horrible sound quality. Very noisy and scratchy even after cleaning multiple times
- Sorry to hear that others had problems, but good to know I'm not the only one with a horrible pressing. Skips on multiple songs. :-/
