Does anyone know how many of these are out there?

Just bought the current Back To Black edition (for €14,95 at my local record store) and lo and behold, it's the 320 stamper. Black BtB sticker on the shrinkwrap, made in germany on the back cover.

This is indeed the original Albini mix that Kurt and co. decided to remix. The vocals and bass guitar are far deeper on this mix. It's to the point where they're almost equal to the rest of the music. The drums are very dominant as well. This is across ALL tracks. Heart Shaped Box does not feature the double vocals that you hear on the official, remixed album so you won't hear two Kurts harmonizing with themselves. The guitar solo for the song also features a completely different effect... almost overbearingly so. All Apologies is the other song that is totally different. During the outro, you'll hear the cello much more clearly. There are notes played that you can't hear on the official, "corrected" mix.

Overall, it's a very interesting listen. Personally, I find the official release to be superior and that's also how Kurt felt as well. He went on record as saying that he and the band listened to the Albini mix (the one of this vinyl) over and over again and determined that the bass guitar and vocals were buried too far. He also heard other harmonies in his head on Heart Shaped Box that he wanted to add, so that's why that particular song changed. He said that the official mix was wonderful, and the one he had always wanted to hear. I have to agree with him as well. The "320" pressing is again, a great look into the earlier, rough mixes of the songs, but not the final word. That's my take anyway.

Just got mine today, sound quality is fantastic! As every other "320" pressing this is absolute top notch, and shop while it is cheap! I have no sure source, but to me this def sounds as the original Albini mix, and i have been listening to Nirvana for the past 20 plus some years :)

I just bought it and the album vinyl is hot pink. How can I tell if it is the right version by looking at the label or wax? I want to make sure I have the Heart Shaped Box Albini version.

I have this record and can confirm that this is the full Albini mix. One the original mix, Heart-Shaped Box and All Apologies were re-mixed. The rest of the tracks should be the same, I believe.

Pennyroyal Tea was remixed later on. I don't think that has made it to a non-bootleg vinyl release.
