      From DJ Dukes Facebook page:

"I was living on Bleecker Street and Broadway and had made substantial changes to Power Music relating to the variety of music I put out, which now included breaks. acid beats etc. I usually get bored fairly easily and coming from a background that included Hip Hop and Bboying I began to produce a string of acid breaks, which was partly inspired by going to Florida to DJ where DJ Icey and others were jamming Funky Acid Breaks (breakbeats with 303 basses).

Having been a huge fan of Carpenter's Escape From N.Y. which includes The Duke of NY, A No. 1 (Isaac Hayes) I created a themed E.P.

I primarily used a couple of Japanese rackmount copies of the TB 303, which allowed you to play the bass on a keyboard. The step sequence programming gets a bit complicated on the old Roland machines. Also used the Yamaha SY-35 for part of the drums and few disguised samples."
