A decent recording of the Four Seasons by up-and-coming violinist Monique Frasca-Colombier. The Paul Kuentz chamber orchestra provide drama and sweetness as required. Frasca-Colombier's violin is miked perfectly and the chamber orchestra sound clear yet full-bodied.

Heliodor was a Deutsche Grammophon imprint, and this 1969 recording bears the hallmarks of their classical recording expertise.

A really nice pressing (Antonio Vivaldi - The Four Seasons) and surely due a CD re-release?
