- Edited 2 years agoLet me start by saying that I am a huge Jarre fan, both him and his father, and that I love a lot of this work. I bought this record during a press conference with him in Berlin and he was super kind and signed three of his albums for me. I have to admit that I am not a big fan of this album though. It is not entirely my cup of tea. The best song to me is The Heart of The Noise ( Origin ) as well as the The Heart of Noise 1. Those are fantastic tracks but they also differ from the rest. But the rest is not so great. I also like Switch On Leon on side 3 a lot as well as Swipe To The Right. The rest I really do not care about or do not like at all ( Falling Down is such an example or As One, they are terrible songs ). Sorry. The record itself sounds great ( much better than the terrible CD, dynamic range = 4 !!! ). I will forever cherish this one album as JMJ signed it himself but this is not an album I listen to a lot at all. But I have to add that I like his last three albums a lot, incl. the latest Amazônia soundtrack. [ Playing this using an Ortofon 2M Black cartridge ]
- I'm getting definite vibes of 4JG from The Human League on the Numan collaboration "Here For You".
Anyone else hear the similarity?
