This is the only one Rivers album in my collection as leader, but I enjoy every minute of it. Rivers is memorable composer, all songs were writen by him.I don´t remember Byard in such level. Carter and Williams are very important cats also here. Williams was cut some excellent parts. Sound is clear and dynamic. Tenor strong and without distortion, Carter´s bass fat and deep. Williams drums authentic Just only in Cyclic Episode, through Byard´s "piano percussion" bit limited buzz second, but I think due the recording set up. Vinyl was cut by Ian Sefchick at Capitol. Result has analog feeling. I was lucky to get solid copy. Recommended.
