Of course the long version of "Tell You (Today)" is an unquestionable Arthur Russell classic, pure leftfield disco jewel, but in my opinion the 'radio edit' (3'20) is even better, a magnificiently refreshing moment of bouncy, joyful, carefree disco with proper pop hooks and dynamics. The vocals and harmonies are also a little tighter and more together on the single edit, and altogether this is easily one of my favorite 'leftfield pop' tunes in the world, one that can change your mood at every listen. Preciously uplifting.
