70 Gwen Party occupied a strange position - far too odd to appeal to most people but compromising their strangeness with tinny drum machines & (gasp) riffs. I've just pulled this out & it stands up very well to my ears, the ominous intro almost reminiscent of rave tracks at the time (also backed up by the skittery drum pattern, which bizarrely sounds a bit UK Garage now!). Lo-fi guitar squall cuts across it all & pop music gets a new suit in the process. I wouldn't walk over hot coals for a copy, but well worth a listen if you somehow stumble across one or can find a rip online.
