I was introduced to Sabbath by hearing this back in 1986 when I was around 14 years old. Although the album was in condition that was as bad as could be while still being listenable but the dark heaviness of the sounds came across clearly through forest of crackles and hisses. Along with the gatefold imagery of the eerie demonic woman it made a deep and lasting impression on me and set me on the road to a lifelong love of early Sabbath.
I'd love to know how many other people out there got their intro to classic Sabs with this record....my guess is that it's plenty!

This is the first and best compilation of the early years. You can save the first four albums with it, but not 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath' ("Killing Yourself Your Life" is missing!) and 'Sabotage'.

10/10 a great sabbath collection with mostly the extended version of the songs

This is a fucking great compilation. The essential original first Sabbath.
