Pad of a side is identical to "Heartbeat" from Supertouch (2) - Alive

Classic. Seems to me the A side evolved out of Sotofett's remixes of "Bobletekno" by Prins Thomas (though Current 82 was recorded in 2012 and the remixes were released in 2013, but the Prins Thomas original is from '12 as well). Anyway, I might be wrong.

While much has been written about the majesty of current 82, it truly is special. Weightless and uplifting. As good as it gets.

Yo i've just bought a copy that presents kinda well, VG+++, but this is static as hell n muffled after the 2 minute mark. Is this common with anyone elses copies?

I keep coming back to Current 82 - as commented below, sublime, blissful, otherworldly. The kind of record I can imagine David Mancuso playing at the Loft. Released only a few months before his death, I wonder if he heard/played it?

This is so good, deeper than deep. Absolutely essential. So reasonably priced too

B- Side played on 33 rpm is a soft, warm place, deep down in my heart

Current 82 is simply one of those tracks that sounds so good that I have no desire to understand how it was made, it goes beyond just a 'bass' loop, some pads and drums, it sounds really organic, yet from another world. Always come back to this over the last couple of years.

                  Sotofett, wow.
