This is one of the albums that were in my collection in my teens and I am glad that I found such a good copy. I'm usually not very fond of live albums but this one is absolutely awesome.

As others note, the music on this record is just great. Great players blowing out a great time. My “mutt” pressing (side A as first variant, side B as last variant) sounds fantastic.

Went to their performance in 1977 touring with Aerosmith at the Seattle Kingdome. I was Blow by Blown away. (see what I did there). The album is a good representation of what I heard on stage minus the terrible echo chamber that was the Kingdome.

"Jeff Beck with the Jan Hammer group LIVE" is an astounding performance captured. It has a really good sound for a live recording, and a wonderful range of music. They are having so much fun on stage together playing this fun music. My personal fav is "Scatterbrain" on the B-side. So wonderfully tight, hot, and full of nervous energy. I can only imagine what it felt like to be on stage playing that together. Jeff Beck knows how to play as an ensemble player as well as a lead guitarist. This you will hear throughout the performance. I hope you get a chance to enjoy this amazing recording from 1977.
