Reviews
- Edited 5 months agoThe vinyl pressing is excellent quality. Probably my least favourite Peppers album though… side C is just awful, I’ve never heard Kiedis wine like that before 😣🤷🏼♂️
- I have the Pallas pressing (Made In Germany) but thought I’d leave my review here as well.
Criminally underrated album from the group. The record sounds fine.
Quite a lot of clarity and decent separation. I can’t compare it to its CD counterpart as I don’t own one but you can hear noticeable differences in loud parts (i.e This Ticonderoga) when compared to streaming version.
However, this is not an audiophile record compared to other releases from the band such as Stadium Arcadium,BSSM and Unlimited Love. Compared to these records, The Getaway has less dynamic range, less defined bass (more boomy sound) and gets a bit muddy during loud parts. - Edited 7 months agoWhat a great bass on this record, well balanced in general, beautiful soundstage.
Vinyl is flat, no pops with a clear and punchy sound.
Highly recommended Optimal Media pressing. - That's a good Album but the prices for a regular 2lp no 180g, no downloadcard, no printed inner sleeves but at least a gatefold. For waht 29,99€ ? Then it's the Cd this time for me. Comes also in gatefold. Like the mini lp covers. That's a really good album. After the weak I'm with you just smooth and relaxed. I'd like the vinyl but not to that conditions.
- Edited 6 years agoWow, that's very good. Beatiful sound! I loved the bass and high notes. Awesome press. If you like this album this is the press you wanna buy! :)
- For me the LP is pretty good. Its a mix of old sounds and a lot of new sounds. Its a realy quiet LP, i mean the songs are not so rock like. But I'm happy to have it in my collection.
