Reviews
- Really enjoy this album really dope and has really funky joints on here, not really a must have but if your really into jazz hip hop then yo've found your album!
[Vocal 8.5/10]
Really enjoy the vocals, sending out a good message to the people listening, however there is one flaw....THERE ISN'T ALOT OF VOCALS. I mean I know this is their debut album, but It would be better if they sticked with the vocals for this lp and made a seperate album for the instrumentals. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy "Jazz at the cove" and "autumns breeze" but I really don't see many album with a mix of instrumentals and vocals, its really a big problem to me, but I would prefer more vocals on this album, and see a separate album with just instrumentals. Their taste of MC's are really good and my personal fav vocal track is [Gonna be...alright].
[Production 9/10]
Really good production and has really neat samples and awesome cuts! However like I said earlier, most of the instrumentals could've have been vocals over em. A good example is jazz at the cove, a good choice in jazz sample with joe pass and opus. Jay and soulo has to be one of the most underrated producers and really nice group, imo profile shouldn't have left because he could've rapped over some of the instrumentals. But other than that really nice production!
