Can someone shed some light as to why there are no releases of this on the Renaissance label yet it uses their logo ? It has been one of my all time favorites and I'm just now discovering this after 20 years.

Although it's not credited, the version of Highland's "Forsaken" included here is what I can only assume to be Part 1. As Vapour Recordings only released Part 2 - this is the only place, to the best of my knowledge, you can find Part 1. Whilst sharing many of the same elements as Part 2, it does include it's own unique synth lines and melodies, which are quite beautiful, and drops into a breakbeat at the breakdown towards the end. It's a shame this version remains unreleased as, like any of Highland's work, it's really quite superb.

An excellent single CD mix album from Dave Seaman that is on par with any of his previous Renaissance or Global Underground releases. Track highlights include Hybrid's remix of BT's "Godspeed", Brother Brown's beautiful "Under The Water", Highland's "Forsaken", Timo Maas & Ian Wilkie's "Twin Town", and of course Albion's (aka Ferry Corsten's) superb remix of Libra/Taylor's "Calling Your Name". The easy highlight of the whole album though, is Orkidea's amazing "Unity". The song merges older electronic classics like "Papua New Guinea" with a late 90's progressive trance edge. And of course, aside from the excellent track selection, the arrangement and mixing is of Renaissance standard, meaning: flawless. All in all, you have a superb mix worthy of sitting along side any of Dave's UK releases.
