Reviews
- I have a copy of this and I agree with evertonis111... There is a certain dullness to this pressing that is kind of a bummer. Still a great record but it feels like everything is muffled and blurred together.
- I recently got a copy of this pressing and am happy to report it sounds warm, vibrant, and lush. Vocals are upfront and clear. I was hesitant to pull the trigger based on evertonis111's review, but it turns out there's at least one great-sounding copy out there...
- This UK edition has a very muffled sound... seems like everything above 6kHz starts to slope off. Quiet vinyl, but none of the instruments have any shine, and Cale's voice gets lost in the mix. Maybe this was due to a bad tape transfer, and the US fares better; who knows? Hopefully this album (and Vintage Violence) get real AAA reissues sometime soon. Hopefully they don't hand it off to Abbey Road for some digital 45RPM release.
- Edited 7 years agoMine is a German pressing (stated on both album cover and record labels album) with the same catalogue number
