- soundtrack to an imaginary city , picture no multiculturism but a white frenchman clasically trained with german crafted
blue pgg synthesizers in neon glow cathedrals , that is excactly how blenner sounds , the romance of his french heritage meeting the abstract synth , in my opinion a very more interesting crossbreed than his succesful countryman Jean Michel ever
will be (JMJ tried on zoolook at least) , check it out together with Eddie Jobson theme of secrets wich is in similar league. - Edited 5 years agoPut your Ray Ban on. This is the sound I imagine to listen to while chilling totally stoned in some neon-drenched cocktail bar in the 80s, 4am in the morning. Mega funky, the melodies are slightly cheesy at times, but totally cool. The production is top-notch. Additionaly, the original Sky pressing is one of the best sounding vinyl records I own so far. Just an incredible entertaining, cheerful record for travelling on a imaginary neon highway. I guess nowadays this would be called Vapourwave.
