Notes

The album has been Half-Speed Remastered and cut to lacquers at 45RPM, across 2 x heavyweight LPs, to deliver maximum dynamic range in the sound. The vinyl cutting and mastering was overseen by Peter’s main sound engineer, Richard 'Dickie' Chappell.
Gatefold sleeves utilise imagery from the original LP inner bags and all images are newly re-scanned.
The album also contains a time-limited download card with a choice of digital download (Hi-Res 24bit/96k or 16bit/44.1k).

Each disc is housed in a plain white poly lined inner sleeve.
The gatefold inner spread has lyrics and credits. C1 is titled 'Mercy Street for Anne Sexton'

The first Catalog number appears back cover top right, spine, inner gatefold spread and labels. The second appears back cover lower left and on the sticker.

I've been through multiple US OG's over the years and this release improves on all of them. Sibilance had always been a reoccurring battle with majority of the OG copies I've acquired over the years and this two disc 45rpm version has finally fixed that. Overall, the soundstage and separation are excellent. Such a joy to listen to this album in this presentation.

My Version of this Vinyl was warped too. I send the records to a professionell flatening and cleaning Shop. Now they are perfect flat and without any flaw like surface noise or pops. Really really good sounding Vinyl.

Wondering if anyone has a Classic Records version that they can compare this to?

One of the greatest pop records of all time got the treatment it deserves. Outstanding in every way. This is the ultimate listening experience.

THERE ARE albums that should be left unrated because
they are so good that they are beyond the scale of the ratings.
Mastery of arrangement, production and execution.
Super editing in terms of printing and sound.
In the "ambitious pop-rock" category, this album is at the forefront.

Found this (#010944)at a local Barnes and Noble earlier today, mis-priced at $21.99!

Looking to buy Disc1 of the 45rpm. My Side 1/2 are badly warped and sounds terrible, but it was too late for me to return to the seller as I kept it one the shelf for months before opening. if any one is selling a flat Disc 1 , then please PM me directly.

Additionally, this recording has very little dynamic range compression (-0.1 as measured by DRC-Meter).

These limited edition, numbered, 45 rpm half-speed master editions are awesome. They are whisper quiet and have a very strong signal (+1.5 dB on my scale). They also come with a free digital download and you can select 24-bit, 48 kHz hi-resolution versions. In addition the LPs come in beautiful gatefold jackets (even if the original album was not gatefold). They are produced directly by Peter Gabriel’s company and so they are done right. These albums are my most prized and loved possessions.

I am a huge Peter Gabriel fan and had to get them all. So is my favorite Peter Gabriel album, and “Mercy Street” my all-time favorite Peter Gabriel song. This album has a lot of hits like: “Sledgehammer”, “Big Time” and “In Your Eyes”. As with all the others the production and mastering on this version is precisely perfect—a joy to listen to.

Have to say, the quality of these reissues is simply fabulous. The sound is breathtaking. Begs the question, if this level of sound can be achieved, why isn't every vinyl release like this? Are we buying substandard most of the time?!
