Gen Z listener of prog house here. When I first discovered this tune, it absolutely blew my mind (I mean, it still does obviously). The sheer power and presence felt at the very beginning of 'High On Hedonism' mix is absolutely intoxicating, and when that bassline first comes in... Wow, what a feeling! Insane track to spin from beginning to end. I also love the dub mix, and it totally needs more love I think! The beat and middle section of the dub mix is a surprise delight, and it does feel a little more dancy than the hedonism mix. In the end, this is a great tune either side of the wax, and it's not terribly expensive, so uhhh yeah, you need a copy of this for sure.

Spooky's High on Hedonism is sublime! Worth grabbing this record for that mix alone!

Just had a listen because of these glowing reviews. I have to say I don't get it ? Pedestrian and frankly booring IMHO. I can just about tolerate the origional mix

Anyone else feel that the last minute or so of ‘High on Hedonism’ track gets distorted?

To define Progressive House in one track to me that is Spooky's High On Hedonism Mix.

One of the first records I ever bought, as a student back in Manchester, around end-1993/early-1994 (from Vinyl Exchange, if I remember correctly). Almost 30 years on, it still sounds as timeless as on my first listen..

                  Beautiful, emotive track.

First heard it in context of John Digweed’s Renaissance 2 - the second half of that mix ... with Fluke, Zenith Nadir and the Future Funk EP etc listening on the 🎧 late one balmy summer evening in Crete 1996 - and it blew me away. Will never grow tired of this. High on Hedonism mix for 🚀 into spacey heaven.

                  Goosebump stuff for sure

Beautiful track - just a bunch of good pieces thrown together, no painstaking over-production/over-processing

Such a shame this only made it to No.20 for one week in the UK-Dance-Charts in early 1993... Essential ProgHouseTrance whatever
