Bought this on release, lovely package and fantastic sound on this. Classic album.
Why on earth did they revert back to this front cover? Was it deemed sexist? ("what's wrong with being sexy?")- I bought my copy used and there are quite a few random clicks on both side one and two which aren’t caused by scratches. Anyone with a new copy have this issue?
Anyone care to part with Disc 1? Mine has some nasty factory defect.- not exactly necessary with the presentation in a rigid box box and 200 gram vinyl but beautiful nonetheless and sounds great.
FYI: Another identifier for this release is that the producer's name is incorrectly spelled as "Tod Rundgren" on the back of the box.
Really great release, in terms of sound and looks this boxset really scores high. The sound is better as English Settlement due to the 45 RPM but the design of English Settlement is a bit better! But all in all this record has impressive sound quality and is a beauty to own.
Impressive sound, impressive beauty. All in all a magnificent reissue highly recommended to everyone.
Edited 6 years agoA thing of beauty is right. Barely any surface noise on the fat, flat, and *clean* vinyl. I also can’t recommend this enough. So glad I didn’t sleep any longer on this.
