A lovely Tune by a very special artist on one of my favourite newer labels.
It is all about the flipside SNOW . This long harmonic and pure Tune flows along just right. Less is more : Snow is so beautiful that it touches everybody with it's emotional depth and vision. Like fresh falling white from the winter sky it moves along in just the right Tempo.
From start to finish everything fits exactly at the right spot at the right time, there is no unneccessary repetition or boring second involved. Like an organic creature Snow becomes alive with it's stoic beat. At 125 BPM it's neither too slow, nor too fast - far away from a typical Dancefloor monster, it might work wonders dropped at the right moment in the hands of a good DeeJay- But it is probably better suited in the safety of your private place...
The Title Track is melodic, too - but lacks the strength and drive of this master piece. The original 'Friday's Child' still sounds pretty good, but the KOSS Remix just dies in beauty. The melodie and groove stops completely and Koss takes each sound-fragment and places it under a microscope to examine each facette of it in slow motion.
2 out of 3 ain't bad and the B-Side is strong enuff to make this a welcome addition to your selection !
