Reviews
- this was a great single really---a shame that people's expectations were just too high for everything the Roses did. But by itself, just listening to the music, they were on the right path. A shame that everyone's negativity towards the new music likely deflated their plans of recording a new record. I am sure somewhere there are unreleased songs & sessions from this one. One day they will come out, hopefully. It's also interesting that this 12" vinyl is now selling for a premium. If the Roses never return, this will be the last hurrah in terms of releases so definitely a collectible!
- Sounds too.much like Ian Brown's solo stuff when people want more of the same of the music that made them.big
- Does anyone know if anything more is happening with the band as this was now 3 years ago. Will there be an lp#3 or just the 2 songs from 2016?
- Edited 8 years agoi got my copy today, which was purcased during the second order run available on the roses webstore: surprisingly enough, its serial number is in the 3000 range!
- From Universal Store Support email:
"THIS ITEM WAS INACCURATELY ADVERTISED AS BEING LIMITED TO 5000 UNITS. THE VINYL SINGLE WAS MANUFACTURED TO ACCOMMODATE ALL TERRITORIES AND THE UK ALLOCATION FOR THIS WAS 5000 UNITS BUT A TOTAL OF 6000 UNITS WERE MANUFACTURED GLOBALLY." - Edited 8 years agoGot my two copies today, #2740 was the one I opened. Like the All for One 7", it's one sided. That's particularly glaring in a 12" 45 rpm format. What gives? From here it sure looks like they only had two songs worth releasing. Because the Roses always used to treat fans with lots of good b/w's. Anyway, I'm disappointed but oh well. Great song.

Aside from that, great tune (better than that "all for one" nonsense) and the vinyl sounds much nicer than the mp3 version :)
