- Agree with all comments below. But my copy from 2016 repress sounds quite flat.
Seminal release.The main mix is where it's at imho, a mountain of soul & funk with so much f*ckin attitude, it SLAUGHTERS a decent rig. A MUST HAVE+++/10- Jazzy 94/95 UK Garage vibes. I know a lot of UK Garage jocks where spinning 'Hardlife' so not sure it's a solid 'file under Techno' UR release!
Aaron Carl‘s Remix is the definition of catchy pressed on black gold. If that thing doesn’t swing your hips, go see a doctor and check if you’re a human after all.- Aaron Carl gives the track additional funkyness and a groovy "hookline" which makes the flipside of the EP a must item in everyones collection who is a friend of detroit an his music culture.
