Reviews
- Jesus Christ! This is the first time I have ever seen over 10,000+ "Have" on the stats! Not surprised though, this is a masterpiece...
- Bought mine in Australia from a local record store in which I assume they shipped from Europe. Sounds absolutely amazing. The bass frequencies are so perfect on songs like Celebrate or The Waters, without ruining the vocals and other frequencies. Fantastic album with fantastic production and great sound on the record.
- My copy is anything but audiophile, the sound is compressed and overall very disappointing. Except for the voice and the bass line the rest is incomprehensible. I don't know how some people can say that this record has a high quality. Maybe I was unlucky with my copy. Too bad because I got it after reading the enthusiastic comments.
- What can be said about this pressing aside from it is incredible. This pressing is incredibly dynamic sound and has a HELL of a lot of bass. I almost turned my subwoofer down a bit just so I wouldn't bring the house down. And this is a good thing in my opinion, because there is a lot of great basslines on this album.
That being said, the bass never muddies the should of the record and its highs are just as crystal clear. If you can get your hands on this pressing, GET IT, and crank that bass. Its well worth it. - This is available on RareWaves right now. It's $35 with shipping to the US. Get at it.
https://www.rarewaves.com/products/0885150342237-malibu?_pos=5&_sid=257b84b8c&_ss=r - "Physical copies of Malibu (USA, Canada, UK, and EU) are officially out of print. For those that don't know, Paak and his label were sued in late 2019 for uncleared samples. If we ever see a repress or reissue, some songs may be altered or stripped back to clear legal issues." Get it while you can.
