- An absolutely wonderful listening experience. The best kind of early morning music, innovative and exploratory to the mind and senses. Morning Mist/Steppin’ With Lord establishes a sense of tranquility before transitioning to bouncy and playful melodies of “Cat”.
All at once these tracks impress on me the clearest of idea. This is Jazz. Teruo Nakamura has hit the perfect combination of endless waves of light, transient grooves and serious jazz inspiration. There is more decisiveness, more intent and clarity here than with the also masterful work of Casiopea. This is more brooding, calmer, more thoughtful.
With Nakamuras guidance, the album progresses through, reaching no great particular climax…. But merely fading out like the waves. Truly flawless.
My copy plays beautifully, and is the 1976 Polydor. Would recommend highly.
