Reviews
- I don't know how these other reviews are helpful. This is easily eh WORST sounding pressing of Vol. 4 out there. If you're looking to pick up a great sounding reissue, I recommend grabbing the Rhino cut from 2011. Cut by Chris Bellman, it's all analogue and sounds fantastic!
- Edited 2 years agoI have this copy its nice vinyl and very flat but its EQ is no where near as good as my original vertigo big swirl my orange copy sounds bit fuzzy
- Edited 4 years agoi have this Orange edition---bought it new at Rough Trade when it came out---and it is incredible. easily the best Vol. 4 i've heard. Raw sounding and excellent.
- Has anyone bought a copy of this in 2020 that was actually orange? I just traded for a store copy with the hyper sticker stating ORANGE.Kind of afraid to open it...it was $22...so no big loss if it's black.
- Be careful. Warner is still distributing standard black copies with stickers that say "orange vinyl." I suckered into this and ended up returning to my local store notifying them of the issue. I've managed to see these copies in several stores this year so be careful because the orange pressing is surely long out of print at this point.
- Pretty damn good pressing. I have heard an original pressing and I thought it sounded pretty muddy and like the band were off somewhere 'in the background.' I prefer this reissue... for some reason this just seems to have a bit more life to it. Not very often I favour a reissue over an original but this is one of those occasions.
- I've been really impressed with these colored releases. This one is no exception. Great sounding pressing. Dead quiet. It's refreshing to find a nicely done reissue these days--let alone one done so nicely with colored vinyl.
- Pressing and sound quality are fine on my copy. Crisp and clear percussion, a good mid-range and bass I can feel which gives an overall 'full sound' experience. And I'll add that the package is nicely done with attention to detail at the utmost, apart from the barcode which I could do without.
