No producer is credited for this release, however most X releases from this period were produced by legendary Australian guitarist Lobby Loyde, who is credited as producing the b-side 'Halfway' on the band's 'At Home With X' album, which was released the following year, in 1985.

Edited 6 years agoi finally found the link to the video X made for Mother on Youtube which i mentioned previously. I've added the link here... enjoy, its a great clip and rarely seen.- Edited 6 years agoNot an easy X single to find these days or even back in the day. This version of Half Way Round the World is a little different to the one included on the At Home With You LP. Mother was never included on any LP and for a time was only available on this 7 inch. More recently this single has been reissued as bonus tracks on X-Aspirations (Aztec CD) and on X-Citations, Best of X and Rarities Vol. 1 (SLX Press vinyl).
Does anyone remember seeing the video X made for Mother? It featured Steve all covered in clay which cracked and peeled as he sang the song cleverly suggesting the idea of being born. I couldn't find it on Youtube, but i have a copy of it somewhere. If anyone is interested i can try find it and upload it..
