Now THIS is how you revamp a classic label, by taking the elements that made your label a DnB household name and continue the mission-statement by signing one of the hottest current producers who takes the amen-jungle template and spins a nu-school twist into his sound, making the 1996-2016 20 yr jump seamless. "Real Love" reminds me a lot of Moving Shadow's lighter material circa 95 from Flytronix, Omni Trio, JMJ, etc... But the track that really tickles my pickle is "Nice n Easy", from the 4-4 'ardcore buildup before a time-stretched vocal drops in the amen. Devastating sub bass and haunting atmospheres guide the amen choppage along, as there is a lot of layering and switch ups to keep the brain engaged. I love tracks that whenever I listen to them again, I hear something new each time. Since there's SOOOO much great jungle coming out in 2016 I don't think I can say this is my favorite track, but it would certainly make the 20-track cut for a "best of 2016" volume 1 mix. If you like this, I highly recommend checking out the last few Criterion releases, the Storyline EP from Tim Reaper, and Digital's Synthesis LP.
