i got one and i gotta say super flat, quiet too, not as bad as people say
I can NOT confirm the allegedly poor sound quality. - I have the UK pressing from 2016 and it sounds excellent to me, played with an ORTOFON 2M BRONZE cartridge. - From my point of view, KING FOR A DAY is FNM's strongest album, probably due to the participation of some MR BUNGLE colleagues.
My copy sounds very good, no problems with this one- Awesome version, deep, rich, detailed, dynamic. Punchy and tight bass. Great pressing. Not sure what the fuss is about when reading some other reviews of this version. I hear no sibiliance at all. And it's dead silent Maybe people should upgrade their systems and clean their records. Not everyone is a fan of how they add bonus tracks, but I think it just adds value to the package.

I don't understand all the hate for this. not the best sounding record but decent enough SQ. I didn't hear any noises. if there a noise, wash your records. at least brush off. and check your system. Not this but I A - B Ed "Album of the year". I agree pressing quality of MOV is almost always good but not the SQ. for some system MOV may sound good but that is a gimmick. They use hi-leş digital transfer. whatever they did MOV version is louder on some parts drum especially but overall not great balance and lack of details.
drum-sound is very awful... terrible mixing... MOV reissue is more than better...
Again a release filled with background noise. Plus the muddy sound doesn't add to the enjoyment. I have Picture-Discs that sound better than this 2014-2016 FNM Reissues.
