Notes
Text in English from the back:
"Ulrika Lindholm (1886-1977) recorded more than 350 folksongs for the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation. Most of them she learned during her childhood at Raukasjö, a remote mountain village in the north of Sweden. The whole environment in which she grew up was steeped in song and music - a legacy which she took with her wherever she went.
Ulrika Lindholm sang songs of all kinds - humorous ditties, nursery rhymes, singing games, drinking songs, a few obscene songs, religious songs and songs associated with the temperance movement. Together with Svea Jansson from the Åboland archipelago and Lena Larsson from Kungälvs Ytterby she is one of Sweden's three great singers of folksongs. All the recordings on this disc were made in a studio in Stockholm by Matts Arnberg of the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation between 1952 and 1963."
