Reviews
- Edited 2 years agoWhat is up with this record? Hiss/reasonably low-level static sound on tracks which cuts out when the track ends, silence in the inter-track bands, and then static again into the next track. I heard this most obviously at the end of B1 (Satisfaction) into B2 (Rockin'). The same with B2 - the track fades out with static, and then once it actually ends the static cuts out noticeably. Also some weird artifacts on some tracks, like wobble or echo (right at the end of A8). Were these tracks mastered from cassette dubs? Anyone have any info?
- The version of "Maggie May" here is a faded-out one which omits the mandolin solo at the end; shame - that's the best part of the track!
- The version of Dire Straits' "Sultans Of Swing" appearing in this compilation is not the LP version. It sounds like an alternative studio version. Has anybody else noticed that?
